How we make WordPress websites fast?
WordPress and most of page builders used until now were not designed to make fast web pages. Their priorities were: ease of use, flexibility and universality.
But already at the end of 2018 WordPress released a new editor, called Gutenberg, that produces web pages containing much less bloatware (unused code in CSS and JavaScript files) than e.g. Elementor. Gutenberg is native to WordPress, employs philosophy of building layouts and styling by adding and configuring blocks with different functionalities.
We use WordPress themes optimized for Gutenberg and fast libraries of extra blocks that use vanilla JavaScript without necessity to load jQuery library.
We optimize and serve images in a nextgen format WebP, that is already recognized by all popular browsers. We prioritize loading of images, to minimize Cumulative Layout Shift, taking care not to load unnecessary content too early.
We optimize loading of fonts and defer non-necessary JavaScript files.
Finally we identify and load only used CSS code.
